What this site is
FrostDateCheck reports NOAA 1991-2020 frost-date normals and the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone for US ZIP codes. It is informational only and is not a weather forecast, agronomic advice, or a guarantee of what will happen in any specific place on any specific date.
No warranty on the figures
Every figure traces to the named dataset in the methodology guide, but a 30-year normal is not a promise: this year's weather, the exact plot's elevation, slope and exposure, and the distance to the nearest reporting station all move what actually happens, and none of those are fully captured here. Nothing on this site should be the sole basis for a planting date, a crop-insurance decision, or a purchase.
No professional advice
Nothing on this site is agronomic, meteorological, or horticultural advice. Anyone planting around a specific date should also check a real, near-term weather forecast for that week, not this site alone.
